As a general rule, the foundation does not make grants to:

• Individuals
• Capital Projects
• Emergency Funding

The following is a message from our Board of Directors (Updated April 24, 2009): 

This has been a devastating time for endowments, including ours, and the Foundation Board of Directors has decided that for the time being we should restrict our grants to focus only on our programmatic goals in the areas of early childhood education, the environment and nonprofit leadership. As a result the Foundation will not be providing discretionary funds for event sponsorships, journal ads or other similar fundraising efforts.
